Is there really a "Sex Ed Lottery" in The United States?
SHORT ANSWER - Yes.
LONG ANSWER - "Sex education in The United States is a patchwork of state and local policies... and as a result, (sex ed) is largely influenced by the zip code young people live in." We'd really, really encourage you to read these:

Is our school really doing a bad job?
Maybe not! Some schools do an INCREDIBLE job! That's because they rise above the local standards -- and even though they're not required to -- provide comprehensive sex ed. But if your son isn't in one of those schools, or you want more control, you deserve a better option.
-
Why comedy?
The sex ed most people grew up on was boring, academic, and technical. So, there was a pretty big “vibe gap” between the sex-ed materials, and the people they were trying to reach. This course is meant to close that gap.
-
How long does it take to complete?
There are 12 lessons. And each lesson takes about 20 minutes to complete. But every kid is different. And completion times may vary.
You'll also find a Discussion Guide that helps you follow up after each lesson. And the length of that discussion is completely up to you. -
How long do we have access?
Customers will have access for 90 days. But this will NOT take 90 days to complete... not even close. The 90 day window is to allow for different learning styles, busy schedules, and retaking the course, if desired, to bolster comprehension.
-
Why is it just for boys?
This course was written by a guy, so it made sense to start there. But if people want a course for girls, let us know. And we'll collaborate with a woman who can help us get it right.
-
Is it actually funny?
It's educational, first, second, and third. So, the comedy as more of a... teaching tool.
Will your son think it's cringe? Yeah, for sure. They're at an age where everything is cringe. -
Why is it text-based?
Video can "seem nice," for some. But when it's done right, it's actually really expensive. It forces a fixed pace. And honestly...
...it's easy to sit back, zone out, and let the video play in the background. But with a text-based model, you get a few major wins:
- Text invites a more active form of learning
- It allows kids to go at their own pace
- It gives you the same trusted guidance at a much lower price
That's why Comedy Sex Ed encourages kids to read. You know, like our ancestors used to do. -
